Aola Surf School was founded this year (2007) by Christian Maina, who has been a passionate surfer for 25 years and has been working as a surf instructor for 12 years. He has decided to start the school to be able to realize his dream to teach surfing his own way.

The school is situated on the bottom of a short wooden path leading to a Lacanau beach “South”, just behind the Baywatch (MNS) post, so with no hurry in a minute you are in the waves! Moreover this beach is not frequented by other surf schools. Therefore you can begin and improve in the best conditions of tranquility and security with more space for your joy.

The teaching method of Aola Surf School is an evolutionary pedagogy which adapts to the age and to the level of each client and security is considered priority. Aola Surf School, benefiting from its small size, offers friendly approach nowadays very rare in surf schools, along with friendly and family atmosphere. There is also a ‘sandwicherie’ and its location is calm on the bottom of the dune a little further from the fussy center of Lacanu Océan.

Aola Surf School organizes its courses and classes of surfing depending on the conditions of the waves and the schedule of tides to be able to teach beginners and very young ones in the foam close to the beach and others to take the waves further from the coast, all in accordance with the level of each surfer. In the case of bad ocean conditions, when it is impossible to surf, the courses are postponed or replaced with a more theoretical approach of surfing and ocean (tides, formation of waves,…).
